Break The Curse: The Crimson Gems is an exciting puzzle game that follows the adventures of a paranormal activity investigator. Her new assignment is to investigate the intriguing disappearance of two performers from the carnival called Harold and Eliza.
You've been summoned by the carnival's master, Lorenzo, to find out what happened to the two missing performers. He gives you a lead: they were kidnapped by a strange woman who lives in Usherton Manor, a mansion that seems to be abandoned.
You will need to explore various scenes, each with at least 2 or 3 challenging puzzles. The app provides you with many jigsaw mini-games and only a few hidden object challenges. The latter don't display a list of items which need to be found on the scene; instead, it asks you to find a certain amount of similar objects. For example, in one challenge, your goal is to collect 10 glass tears.
Personally, I didn't really like the cinematics as they were low quality. Furthermore, the character's mouth doesn't move when talking to you and the game occasionally runs slow while playing these videos.
Also, unlike other puzzle games from the Big Fish website, this app lacks an integrated map for teleporting to other locations.
Nevertheless, Break The Curse: The Crimson Gems brings you a captivating storyline, offers you many challenging puzzles, and has nice artworks.
