As its name says, this little tool is a BPM counter. It lets you quickly view the BPM (Beats-per-minute) value of any MP3 or WAV songs, which is especially handy for DJs in need of getting the BPM information for every track of large music collections in a very fast manner. This tool basically spares you the need to calculate the BPM values manually by counting taps or by other similarly difficult methods.
This BPM counting program is very easy-to-use and offers a truly fast method of obtaining the BPM count for any tracks: just select a folder containing music files, and the app automatically calculates the BPM values for all the WAV and MP3 songs contained in that folder. Unfortunately, it supports only WAV and MP3 files, but this shouldn’t be much of a problem, as these file formats are very popular and widely used for storing music in a digital form. Furthermore, its interface is very simple, neat and straightforward. Few additional features and options are available, of which the most remarkable is, in my opinion, the fact that this tool allows you to save the detected BPM data into the IDv3 tags of MP3 files. The interface also provides links that allow for quick access to other audio processing tools from the save developer (the “Tools” menu).
BPM Counter is simple, neat, free, and it gets the job done. It’s a fast and accurate solution to obtain the BPM value of any MP3 or WAV track.
