Botanica: Earthbound is a puzzle game created by Boomzap where you follow Ellie Wright, a botanist, and Ian Garrett, a scientist, on their journey from a mysterious land called Botanica to the planet Earth. On your quest you will solve various riddles, explore nicely-drawn locations, and collect useful items from the visited scenes.
You can create as many player profiles as you like, choose between three difficulty levels, and easily configure the game settings at any time. The app provides you with a comprehensive help guide that teaches you how to move from one location to another, examine items, use the objects from your inventory, etc.
Furthermore, at the beginning of the game you have access to an interactive tutorial that teaches you how to play.
Personally, I don't think it's worth buying and installing this game if you haven't played the first chapter of Botanica series, called Into the Unknown. Since I didn't played the previous part, it was pretty difficult to understand how the two characters ended up on Botanica.
Nonetheless, if you don't mind playing the second chapter first, this game it's worth a try. The app is filled with dozens of challenging puzzles, automatically saves your gameplay progress, and comes with an affordable price.
