Blot is a game in which you control a circular, grinning fellow with strange features. His name is Blot, and you can give him a variety of costumes as you explore yellow-and-black worlds hand-drawn on paper.
The game's splashes of colour mostly come about when Blot absorbs colour, and then uses it to solve puzzles and problems. This makes for an appealing, distinct visual style that helps you play the game: outside of the occasional high-octane seasonal content such as the game's Halloween event, you always know that colour means something. On the other hand, the game gets predictable at times because of how colours and puzzle-solving work, and when it's not predictable, it can be hard to see.
Overall, Blot is an entertaining game. It's easy to pick up and play, and it's enjoyable for all ages. There's not a ton to it, and it's certainly not hard, but for some quick, casual and cute fun, it's hard to argue with the glowing reviews it's received since its release, and we're happy to add another one to the pile.
