BKChem
is a cross platform application which allows you to draw simple chemical compounds and molecular structures on your PC.
If you're a scientist or science student, you'll find it easy to use without having to be a design expert or desktop publishing professional. BKChem works by bond-by-bond drawing allowing you to define bond length and angles with precision. It also features a range of ready to use templates for those that don't feel confident enough to draw up their own molecular charts.
You can change the color of molecules, add annotations and of course design your own simple vector graphics such as rectangles, circles, polygons etc. If you make a mistake, you can easily undo any changes that you've made and also if you've haven't exactly got an eye for the alignment of molecules, BKChem can help you automatically align them for you. When you've finished, you've also got the choice of exporting images to PNG, SVG, PDF and ODF format.
BKChem is useful for any budding scientist or science publisher that constantly has to draw complex chemical compound diagrams.
