Similar to Spyro the Dragon or Mario 64, the core gameplay of Billie Bust Up is relatively standard 3D adventure platforming. It adds a twist to that core gameplay, though, by introducing rhythm mechanics, particularly in boss fights, where the player can use the music as a guide to help them avoid the boss’ attacks. Seamlessly blending platforming action with rhythm-based mechanics, it has players synchronizing their moves to the beat of the music.

Additionally, the game boasts acast of memorable characters, from grinning ghosts with grim invitations to crafty feline smugglers and self-aware puppets.
