Bigasoft DVD to iMovie Converter is a DVD ripper that can be used to convert your movies into video files that you can later import into iMovie. All of the formats that the iMovie application can load are supported by this ripper. Those formats can also be played by most video players, and mobile multimedia playback devices. In fact, there are conversion profiles available for the iPod, iPhone, and iPad.
The graphical user interface consists of two panes in the middle of the screen, a toolbar at the top, and the video conversion settings at the bottom. The pane on the left functions as a video player, which lets you preview DVD titles before conversion. On the right, you will find all the DVD titles that make up your movie. Before a movie is loaded, this pane shows instructions on how to use the app. From the Profile dropdown menu, you can select a format or conversion profile. The iMovie Video profile is selected by default.
There is a video editor that lets you trim and crop your DVD titles and adjust some of their properties.
