Bigasoft DVD Ripper is a video conversion tool that can be used to convert your DVD movies into video or audio files. The application lets you open movies from the discs themselves or from a folder on your hard drive. Once your movie is loaded, you will see a list of all the DVD titles that make it up on the right side of the screen. On the left, you will find a video player that lets you preview the titles before you convert them. At the top, there is a toolbar which lets you access the video editor, the application settings and load your movies. The drop-down menu that contains all the conversion formats and profiles is located at the bottom.
Next to each DVD title, there are two drop-down menus that let you choose the audio and subtitle track that you want to use for your video files. In my testing, the subtitles were unfortunately out of sync. But choosing different audio tracks worked well.
To test the application, I put a DVD in my drive and loaded it. Then I selected a single title and trimmed it to a 1-minute clip with the built-in video editor. I converted it to MKV and to H.264 and the process was smooth in both cases. The app took a little over 20 seconds to convert a minute of video, which isn't bad.
