Between the Worlds is a hidden-object game in which you are a detective who has been called due to an increasing number of crimes committed in a city. The goal in every level will be to investigate the crime scene, find a list of objects and find clues that help you resolve the crimes. The scenes will be very crowded with objects and these are perfectly camouflaged with the scene. The scenes are cartoonish and their quality is not very good, so sometimes it is not so easy to identify the objects, specially if you play in windowed mode.
If you have trouble finding an object, you can use the hints. These are unlimited but take a lot of time to recharge. Unfortunately, there are no penalties for using hints or for random clicking, which makes the game pretty easy for advanced players. Apart from the lists of objects to find, there are pieces of an amulet scattered around the different scenes. Your job is to find them all. The game only offers one mode, and it has simple graphics and sounds, and repetitive music.
To sum up, I really would not recommend Between the Worlds because you will surely find much better hidden-object games with a detective story.
