BestHD Blu-ray to iPhone Converter is a commercial Blu-ray ripper. The app allows you to convert your Blu-ray movies into the MPEG-4 and H.264 (also known as MPEG-4 AVC) formats. These are two formats that the iPhone and all the other devices made by Apple support. Other mobile multimedia playback devices will also play those files.
This ripper has a very simple graphical user interface. I am not someone who ever complains about that. I like functional interfaces. The GUI consists of a big space where your Blu-ray titles will be listed, a video player to the right, and at the bottom of the screen, you will see the conversion settings. There is a drop-down menu that lists six different conversion profiles. The maximum resolution used by them is 640x480. If you click on "Settings", right next to this drop-down menu, you will be able to change some conversion options.
Unfortunately, this Blu-ray ripper does not come with a video editor, and its format support is limited. Also, it hasn't ever been updated.
Honestly, if I ever needed to rip a Blu-ray movie, I would rip in another format first, and then into a small resolution file, if needed. In other words, I would get a more complete ripper than this.
