This is a game jam submission project.

I've never really programmed anything beyond "Hello World!" or ever made any type of games. So Ipretty much started learning using Pico-8 and Lua from the scratch. I joined in late, so I only had a very limited amount of time to put into the project. The results are here.

The game is quite short, not overly difficult, contains numerous development oversights and is probably buggy. It tries to be somewhat funny, but more than likely it's cringy as hell. Nevermind that!

Use the arrow keys to match symbols on screen.

Z chooses menu options and advances the dialogue.

EDIT: Uploaded a new version of the game that runs at 60 FPS in hopes to make reading the game scene a bit less frustrating and changed the symbols from letters to arrows to make it more clear which key the player is supposed to hit.
