Bar Code 128 allows you to generate bar codes of six different types or subsets: the A subset, which may include A-Z, 0-9, and control characters; the B subset, which may include standard ASCII characters; the C subset, which may include high density numeric information (00-99); the SCC-14 subset used to generate 14 digits bar codes on shipping containers; the SSCC-18 subset that allows you to generate 18 digit numbers used on shipping containers to identify them by serial number; and the AutoSense subset that allows you to switch between subsets based on the data. You can include a text below the bar codes with the exception of the AutoSense subset. Also you can use standard and UCC/EAN variations.

To generate a bar code you first need to select the type. Then, you need to select the height, width, and the desired bar code options. Next, you type the data for the bar code. Finally, you use the "Make" option to generate the bar code. The bar code will appear on the Sample bar code window and you will be able to copy the bar code to another window or generate and print the bar code labels.

When generating a bar code, the program also generates a string of characters. This string contains the data which is later converted into a bar code with the Elfring Fonts when pasting bar codes from the clipboard. Some Windows applications may not support the font information, so you may need to select a bar code font to visualize the bar code.
