This program lets you convert text files into speech using the voices installed in your Windows system. You can download other voices besides those installed by default.
It is possible to open text files in different formats directly from the program's interface so it can read them aloud without needing to convert them into another format. The supported formats include.TXT, .DOC, .DOCX, EPUB, PDF, and more, If you want to use texts that are in other formats, you can copy the text, open a new document and paste the clipboard contents. It is also possible to convert document batches.
The program also lets you customize the font size, type, color, and so on. You can record the voice file into different sound formats, such as MP3, OGG, WMA, and others, so you can upload them to your smartphone or music player to listen to them later.
Another good feature is the Translate tool, which uses Google Translate to perform a translation of your file.
You can customize the program's interface by downloading and installing the skins pack that is available at the developer's site. Also, you can "teach" the program to improve its pronunciation by using replacement lists, each with its own replacement rules.
All in all, it is a good program that can be useful for you if you need to convert text files into audio. This is useful when you have a lot of files to read and want to hear them instead, thus taking advantage of the time you spend on the traffic or in the subway, and so on.
