BadCopy Pro is a very good data recovery tool for Windows. It can recover lost or corrupted data from a variety of media, such as hard drives, flash memory drives, CDs and DVDs, floppy disks, etc. BadCopy Pro has some filtering options so that your searches do not take forever.
The main window shows some on-screen help and at the left, you will see the media from which BadCopy Pro can recover data. By simply clicking on the correct category, you can start the process. The first thing that you will have to do is select a drive letter to run the process. After, the application will ask you what type of scan you want it to carry out and if you are looking for any specific file type. I like that there is a checkbox that says "only find images and movies". This makes the process a LOT easier and faster. The application will then start the scan. After a while, you will see a list of files that can be recovered and a preview window where you can see them.
In my case, I tested the app with an SD memory card. It worked flawlessly. It detected even more images than I thought I had, because it can find files that were deleted a long time ago. The only thing that I didn't quite like was the preview window. There was no way for me to zoom out to see the whole image. They were all high-res photos and I could make no sense out of them this way.
