avi2dvd is a simple, yet effective BASH-script command-line utility designed to help you convert an AVI file to DVD files and write these to a DVD in PAL format. Therefore, the application converts AVI to VOB files and burn them to DVD. The conversion process is quick, enabled from the command-line.
