AVCHD to Mov is intended to convert between video formats. Luckily, despite its name suggests otherwise, this tool supports a wider range of formats. However, it aims specifically at making any kind of video playable on Mac devices and applications. The tool’s interface is quite straightforward and very similar to those of other apps of this type. Therefore, I think you will not have any problems to use it even if it is the first time.

Good news is that the app supports processing multiple items as a single operation. In this respect, you can easily drag and drop the desired files to create a list. Moreover, if the source file contains various video and audio tracks or subtitles, you can pick the ones you want to keep. At the lower part of the window, you can find a list of target conversion presets, which are organized according to the devices that support them, for example, iPad and iPhone. Still, this does not mean you cannot customize the output profile to meet your exact needs.

In general, AVCHD to Mov does its job quite accurately and quickly. Yet, it is a shame that it does not support most of the basic editing features you can find in similar tools. The product can be bought from the Mac Store at a convenient price.
