Autorun Cleaner 1.0.1.1

Very often computers can get infected with viruses and malware because of infected portable devices (like flash drives) and their autorun.inf files. If no previous measures were taken, these autorun files would be automatically loaded by the system facilitating the spreading of viruses and malware. As a solution for this problem, a lot of programs that would block, delete or clean (disinfect) the autorun files have been developed. Autorun Cleaner is one of the simplest ones.

Autorun Cleaner is a tiny program that doesn’t even have an interface. It just adds an entry to the context menu (right-click menu) of your drives. Clicking this entry will scan that drive for autorun files and clean them if any are found. Anyway, if the system has already been infected, there’s nothing Autorun Cleaner can do. Autorun Cleaner is clearly meant to help with preventing infections and not meant to cure them.

There’s not much else I could say about such a simple tool. It’s small and it improves the safety of your computer for free, therefore I can only recommend it.
