Authoware is a professional program that has been designed to help us create LMS-compliant educational projects. This application features a user-friendly and comprehensive GUI that has many handy tools; and several wizards will assist us in making our e-learning projects.
We can start creating a new project by selecting a knowledge object: Accessibility Kit, Application, or Quiz. Then, we can follow the step-by-step instructions to create training courses, quiz applications, etc. We can also opt to work without using a knowledge object. The projects can be sold/published online, presented on a CD/DVD, or offered to organizations, educational institutions, training centers, etc.
The version 7.0 of this program is the last one. There will not be any future releases, although the developer will keep the support center open for customers who decide to buy this program or existing customers with older versions. The developer provides training courses for those interested in moving to more modern e-learning applications.
To be able to create e-learning projects we need to have any of the following operating systems: Windows 98, 2000, or XP. Once created, the project can be played in both Windows and Mac OS.
