Aunsoft Video Converter is a simple yet efficient utility that enables you to convert clips to a wide variety of video and audio formats. This program comes in handy whenever you need to transfer a film on an iPhone or Apple TV and wish to avoid any incompatibility issues between your video file and the media device you're using.
You can also work with this application if you wish to extract soundtracks from movies, trim clips, and watermark videos with minimum effort. The app lets you import videos of various formats, from popular ones like MP4, FLV or MOV to RM, DV, and TIVO.
This program also brings you a feature that I haven't seen in other video converters: the ability to remove or replace the sound content from a clip. You can also import audio files of multiple formats, such as MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AU, and many others.
In addition, Aunsoft Video Converter lets you add subtitles to your movies (SRT, ASS, and SSA formats are supported) and apply various types of visual effects if necessary.
The one thing that I'd add is the ability to choose individual output profiles when converting multiple videos at the same time. For now, you can select only one output format for all input files.
Even though it comes with a small flaw, I still think Aunsoft Video Converter would be a smart addition to your collection of Mac apps. It's simple to configure, supports dozens of output formats, and preserves the quality of the videos.
