Aukun DVD Ripper is a commercial DVD ripper for the Mac. It can be used to convert your DVD movies into a variety of video and audio formats, including AVI, WMV, ASF, MKV, MPEG, H.264, MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, and AIFF, among others. The app comes with lots of conversion profiles for devices like iPods, mobile phones, gaming consoles, etc.
Aukun DVD Ripper has a very nice user interface. It is divided in four tabs: Open, Edit, Profile and Convert. The first one shows the titles that make up your DVD movie. From here, you can select the audio language that you want to use and any subtitle track. All the titles are selected by default, but you can uncheck them and select only those that you want to convert. If you click on the "Edit" button on the top of the screen with only one title selected, you will go to the video editor. From here you can trim and crop your videos, adjust brightness and contrast, and even replace the full audio of your title. The "Profile" tab lets you select the output format for your files. There are many profiles available and they are all sorted into relevant categories. Finally, when you are all ready, you can start converting the video by clicking on the last button: "Convert".
