It allows creating audiobooks from various types of text files by using the system’s built-in text-to speech engine. In this regard, the tool supports importing such file extensions as EPUB, PDF, iBOOKS, HTML and TXT. Likewise, it is configured to produce M4B audio book files, which are perfectly compatible with iTunes.
The application is quite easy to use. You should start by importing the source files. At this point, it automatically detects available chapters and you can decide which ones you want to include in the audiobook. Likewise, it is possible to pick one of the text-to-speech voices available on your computer (which includes languages) as well as set its rate and volume.
All in all, I am glad there is a tool that saves me from reading long texts by creating audiobooks I can listen to not only on my computer but portable devices as well. It is a shame that it does not allow importing audio files or mixing computer-generated voices with a musical background. Luckily, there is a lite version you can try, and about the price of the full app, I regret to say that I find it excessive.
