Creates videos from a selection of pictures of your choosing, edits video files by adding music, effects, overlays or transitions and adds watermarks or subtitles to your creations. Outputs FLV, MP4, MPG, M2TS, WMV, MKV or ASF videos.

Any Video Editor allows you to edit or create videos. It performs simple operations like adding transitions, effects, overlays and watermarks. It can also add subtitles to your clips or background music when you create slideshows of photos.

The interface is intuitive. The project can be viewed in one of two modes: Timeline or Storybox. When editing a video, it’s recommended to use the timeline view because it makes it easier to mix your elements. When creating a clip out of pictures (slideshow), the Storybox view organizes your project better.

It should be noted that the video effects and transitions available are interesting and some are very pleasant to the eyes.

This program has some problems, though. In my case, the application often froze when I was previewing my project. Furthermore, the preview panel inserts some visual artifacts sometimes.

Because of the codecs used, rendering a video takes a lot of time. Fortunately, the application takes advantage of multithreading technologies where available (if you activate the function that is disabled by default).

The application recognizes most of the video formats (when opening a file). In the evaluation version, the only format available when saving a project was MP4. Even so, it allows you to tune all of the exporting settings, like bitrate, video size and so on.

To sum up, this is a basic video editor for beginners.
