In these times, cyber crimes are a major concern. Thus, surfing the web safely is mandatory to keep safe one's personal information.
Anonymizer Gadget is a free program that, supposedly, helps you hide your IP address and mask it behind a fake one, thus letting you surf the web safely. This may sound as a good idea, but ultimately, this is not the case with this program.
First of all, it does not offer many configuration options. Its interface is dull and looks as if it was deigned for Windows 95. But letting its aesthetic aspects aside, the program itself does not honor its promises of being truly free and to keep our IP safe, since for being able to hide your IP effectively, you need to purchase a proxy through a third-party website (http://nottotrack.com). Thus, if you don't do so, the program is completely useless. And when you want to obtain more information by clicking on the links on the interface, you are directed to Google's main page. This sounds like a joke.
In sum, if you are searching for free software to protect your system when surfing the net, then you may want to search for other options.
