Amacsoft iPod to Mac Transfer is a program that lets you transfer content from your iPod Touch or other iOS devices to your Mac. This can be very useful in a variety of occasions. I use it to transfer data from a device that can't sync with iTunes because of an error. But you could also use it on a friend's computer to transfer your photos, music and movies. The application supports the iPod Touch and I was also able to get it to work with an iPhone 4. The iPad might be supported as well.

To use the application, you can connect your device to your Mac with its USB cable. When your device is detected, the app will display a summary of it. Some of the information included in this summary is device type, capacity, free space, used space, name and serial number. You will find a list of all the types of data that you can transfer on the left pane. When you click on one of these categories, you will see the files hosted on your device on the right pane. To transfer a file, you can simply check the box next to it and click on the "Transfer" button at the top of the screen.

In my testing, I transferred both pictures from my camera roll and music to a folder on my Mac. The process was very easy and everything worked right. The trial version lets you transfer a limited number of files so that you can test the app.
