AKVIS ArtWork is an image editor that provides you with an easy way to transform digital photos into stunning artworks. The program comes with an intuitive interface and simple-to-configure output settingsm, so any Mac user can easily get quality results with minimum efforts.

You can import images of various formats, from popular ones like JPEG, PNG or TIFF to CRW, NEF, RAW, MOS or SRW. The application then lets you choose the preferred output profile or create your own by adjusting the levels of Saturation, Stroke Thickness, Relief, Stroke Density, etc. The created profiles can be saved and reused later for a different image.

A good thing is that the program gives you access to a batch processing tool where you can import a folder with images and choose a single output profile for all pictures. The utility immediately generates the artwork files to any location you like on your computer.

My only beef with this image editor is the fact that despite the fact that it lets you import images with various extension, it supports a very small amount of output formats (JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF).

Other than that, not much more can be said about this program. It helps you modify your images with minimum effort and provides you with quality results.

However, you can find plenty of other applications (for instance, GIMP) that come without a price tag or are cheaper than AKVIS ArtWork and offer you the same quality results. Plus, they provide you with more image editing options and support a larger variety of output formats.
