Aiseesoft iPad Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It can be used to convert video files for playback on the Apple iPad and other devices that support MPEG-4 and H.264 playback. Those are the only two available output formats. The application can open pretty much any video format. I personally tried DivX, MKV and FLV files, but chances are that most files are supported.
Aiseesoft iPad Video Converter has a very standard and even dull-looking graphical user interface. It looks like it is a Windows application, really. And that is never good. The main window has a video player for quick video previews, and buttons that take you to a video editor that can trim and crop your videos. There is a lot of space for your video conversion queue in the middle of the screen.
In terms of performance, I have to say that the app creates high-quality output files and that it converts files quite quickly. A 2 minute HD, MKV file took less than a minute to convert on my Mac.
All in all, this app can convert files just fine, and it does a good job of doing that. However, there are great and free apps out there that have more features and work just as well. So, my advice is to try before you buy and to check the alternatives.
