Aiseesoft iPad 2 Video Converter for Mac is a commercial video conversion tool that can come in handy for iPad 2 users. It can be used to convert pretty much any video file to a few formats that are compatible with iPad 2. The supported output formats are MPEG-4, H.264, MOV M4V, WMV and WebM. There are conversion profiles for iPad, iPhone, iPod and AppleTV. H.264 and MPEG-4, and certainly, MOV, are supported by all the Apple devices.
Some time ago I reviewed Aiseesoft iPad Video Converter. If you bought that one, you don't really need to buy this one. The interface is different but not much has changed since that version.
This converter comes with all extras every Aiseesoft product has these days. You will find a very complete video editor, and a video player, and different conversion profiles. You can, apparently, change individual conversion settings if you want.
In my testing, I converted both an MKV and an XviD file to test the app. I converted both to H.264 files. The process was quick. On my Mac Mini, 2 minutes of video were converted in 1 minute and change for the MKV file and a bit less for the XviD file. Importing the resulting files into iTunes wasn't a problem either.
