AirAttack is a vertical scrolling shooter arcade game for Mac. Currently, it is one of the most popular paid games, ranking as number 9 on the Mac App Store. It features an immersive and customizable experience and the low price makes it a sin not to give it a try if you are a fan of the genre. If you have ever played games like 1942, 1943 or any other vertical scrolling shooter, you will feel right at home with AirAttack.

The game features multiple game modes. You have the arcade game and the survival mode. I tried the arcade game, and I really liked it. The goal is simple: destroy anything that comes on your way. You have a cannon that shoots automatically and you can drop bombs by hitting the space key on your keyboard. You can collect power-ups for your cannon and points by killing enemies and collecting points. Every once in a while, you are given the chance to stop in a shop to upgrade your plane with the points that you collected. You can add more shots to your cannon, and special weapons that are activated with the shift buttons. When the screen is filled with enemies, these weapons will definitely give you an edge.

AirAttack launches a configuration window before starting the game. This is great because users with low system specifications can customize the game to their liking, and users with good graphics cards can get better graphics.
