AimOne Video Splitter is a Mac application that enables you to cut your favorite clips into segments and save them as individual files. The program works with dozens of video formats, comes with an integrated player, and lets you choose between various output profiles.
After you import the video you wish to split into segments, the utility lets you choose the preferred duration for each clip piece. You can use the built-in video player to carefully select each segment.
A funny and interesting thing that I noticed was that both this program and Boilsoft Video Splitter for Mac bring the same interface and output configurations. As you can see when clicking the Help button, the app shows "Boilsoft Video Splitter Help", yet the name of the app is AimOne Video Splitter. Most likely, one developer copied the work of another, but who copied who only they know.
I didn't like the fact that the program took a while to cut large chunks (over 1 minute duration) from input files. This aspect might prove to be an important disadvantage when trying to split large-sized movies into a small amount of segments.
In conclusion, I think you should look for another video splitting tool or a clip editor that works smoothly no matter the size of the input and output files.
