Usually products from Apple and Microsoft don't support a lot of formats. In the case of the Xbox 360, you are limited to DivX, XviD, MPEG-4, H.264 and ASF. This converter can open pretty much any modern video format and MKV isn't an exception. In my testing, I converted a 720p, MKV video file into Xbox 360 DivX HD video, with a matching resolution of 1280x720. The resulting file looked great and it played well on my Xbox 360.
