4Videosoft iPhone Transfer for Mac can be used to backup your iPhone. The app can detect your iPhone when it is connected and read its contents. It can also copy any song, video, picture, ringtone or voice memo back to your Mac, so you can keep a copy.
The main window shows an overview of your iPhone on the right, and the different types of data on the left. The overview shows the iPhone model, capacity, version, serial numer and format, along with how much audio, video, pictures, and other data you have on it, all shown in a graphical representation with colors so you can easily see what is taking your space.
You can either use this tool to copy songs back to your Mac or to put songs on your phone. To backup the songs, you simply check the ones that you want to download and click on the button that reads "iPhone to Mac". I tested this app by both copying to and from the Mac. And both operations worked flawlessly.
All in all, 4Videosoft iPhone Transfer for Mac works very well and it lets you move content from and to your iPhone. All the features worked well and they were pretty smooth, with the exception of downloading Pictures. It worked but it was a bit slow. I can probably blame this on the USB connection from my phone to the Mac.
