4Media Video Converter Standard is, as its name suggests, a program that helps you convert videos on your computer. This Mac application is also designed to extract soundtracks from your favorite clips, split movies into segments, convert songs to other audio formats, and much more.
Like many other video conversion tools from the web, this utility allows you to select multiple input files, preview the videos before converting them, and choose from various output profiles. This program also gives you access to several advanced output settings to change the video resolution, audio sample rate, sound volume, etc.
Another advantage is that you can select different output profiles when converting multiple files at the same time.
The only thing I don't like about this program is that it offers a small amount of video editing tools. For example, similar apps enable you to merge the input files into a single video, crop clips or add watermarks and subtitles.
However, the developers of this application provide you with a more capable alternative for video conversion (the Ultimate release of 4Media Video Converter) which offers you all of the aforementioned features plus more. So it's up to you to decide if it's worth acquiring the Standard version of 4Media Video Converter or not.
