4Easysoft Mac MOV to AVI Converter is a commercial video converter. It can only open MOV files, which it can convert into AVI, MPG, TS, AAC, AC3, MP3, M4A, and a few other formats. Some of the video codecs used for conversion by this app are H.264, DivX, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2. There are quite a few conversion profiles. You will find profiles for the Playstation 3, Archos, Creative ZEN, Blackberry phones, and XBOX 360.

This converter is identical to all the other converters by 4Easysoft. It comes with a video editor that allows you to trim and crop your videos and adjust their brightness, contrast and saturation. There is a video player for quick video preview and two drop-down menus where you can find the profiles divided into categories.

This app supports batch conversions, so you can add as many videos as you want and they will all be converted one after the other.

In my testing, I was able to convert some MOV files that I had recorded with my digital camera into AVI files, which played great on VLC. The quality was almost identical to that of the original files.

In short, this is a nice converter, it works nice and it does what it says it does. It costs $19.95, and in comparison with other commercial converters, it has limited format support and no advanced features.
