3herosoft Video Converter is a multi-format video converter. It can be used to convert video files to other formats. The list of supported formats is extensive, and all the popular ones are there, including MKV, MPEG-4, H.64, FLV, 3GP, AVI, etc. This converter comes with quite a few conversion profiles, which are optimized conversion settings. There are profiles for lots of Apple devices, non-Apple multimedia playback devices, gaming consoles, phones, etc. Most of those profiles use the H.264 or MPEG-4 codecs for video encoding.
Graphically, 3herosoft Video Converter looks a little different than most other converters. It doesn't have a toolbar at the top, it is at the bottom of the screen. From there, you can add files, trim your videos, remove a specific file from your queue and start the conversion process.
The video trimmer works well, although the video player struggled a bit trying to playback MKV files.
In my testing, I used an MKV file, and converted it into one of the AppleTV profiles. The process was very quick and the resulting file player quite nicely on iTunes.
In short, this is a nice, working video converter with a video trimmer and good format support. It has an original user interface that looks nice and is intuitive.
