3herosoft DVD to FLV Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. It can be used to convert your DVD movies into a variety of video formats. Some of the supported output formats are FLV, WMV, MPEG-4, H.264, MKV, MOV, and AVI. Some audio formats are also supported, and there are profiles for devices like Blackberry phones, iPhones, iPods, and other Apple devices. Basically this is a regular commercial converter, so disregard the FLV in the application's name.

Graphically, this DVD ripper leaves a bit to be desired. There isn't anything terribly wrong about it; it just looks a bit old.

In terms of features, the application comes with all I would expect from a $20 DVD ripper. There is a video player for quick video playback, a video editor that allows you to trim and crop your videos and adjust some video settings, and lots of different conversion profiles.

In my testing, I selected a single DVD title, trimmed it to a 30-second clip, and then converted it to both MOV and FLV. The process took a few minutes, and the resulting file played great. Subtitles worked. However, the trimming did not, as the resulting file was 10 minutes long. Maybe this is a problem with the trial and its limitations.
