2048 Tile! is a fun brainteasing puzzle game for Mac where your objective is to merge squares in such way you get the 2048 tile on your board. Personally, I find this application to be a relaxing solution for spending my 10-minute break from work.
On the main window of the app you have access to gameplay rules, a highest score panel, and an option to disable the sound effects. There's also a New Game button in case you wish to start playing from scratch (with two tiles with number 2 on the board).
Your goal is match identical tiles (with the same number on top of the square) and obtain tile 2048. Each time two squares collide they merge into a single tile displaying the total of the joined numbers.
The two aspects I don't like about this program are: it shows advertisements on the gameplay window (you can remove them by making an in-app purchase) and it doesn't offer an option to save progress. The last one I mentioned might prove to be an important disadvantage whenever you reach a very high score and you don't want to lose your unbelievable progress (it happened to me a couple of times) if you need to shut down the app.
Nevertheless, if the aforementioned flaws don't matter to you, it would definitely worth installing 2048 Tile! on your Mac. This game is very addictive and fun, offers detailed gameplay instructions, and, most importantly, it doesn't cost a dime.
