New data
FoodWorks® Professional 2009 includes the latest AUSNUT food composition tables (released in 2008). This data was developed as part of the National Children’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey and contains nutrient values for more than 4200 foods, beverages and supplements. AUSNUT now contains data for up to 37 nutrients, including:
- Vitamins D and E
- Iodine
- Caffeine
- Dietary folate equivalents
- Linoleic, alpha linolenic and total long chain omega 3 fatty acids
New nutrients for researchers
For researchers with appropriate data, there are a number of new nutrient definitions in FoodWorks Professional 2009, including D-Tagalose, Erythritol, Lutein and Zeaxanthin.
And to make your work easier
FoodWorks Professional 2009 includes significant enhancements, for example:
- Open recently-used databases more easily with the new start-up dialog.
- The Import function now shows the documents within folders being imported.
- New button to display nutrient column in the Foods/Ingredients grid.
- Consolidation of printing functionality—for example, from within Print Preview, redesign your graphs or select your printer.
